William, 92, 5659 Miller Road, passed away at 1:30 p.m., at his home.

He was born to Carl and Freda (Clott) Hoenie. He married twice. His first wife was Ruby Johns, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 15, 1974, he married M. Eleanor (Sandkuhl) Johns, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Marvin Robert (b. Aug 27, 1939), Celina, and Donald Eugene (b. Jul 17, 1942) and Raydell, both Clarksville, TN; three stepsons, James E. Johns, St. Marys, Larry W. (Patty) Johns, Moulton, and Roger D. (Terry) Johns, Auburn Hills, MI; a sister, Margaret Yahl, St. Marys; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 14 stepgrandchildren and 30 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, Robert; a sister, Bernice Vermillion; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, and Hopewell Grange, He served as a Hopewell Township trustee and a Mercer County Fair Board member for many years.

Services are at the church, the Rev. Paul Baglien officiating.
