Ordway Barnes, a retiree of Crown Door Co. in Mobile, died Friday at a local hospital. He was 82. Barnes, a native of Macon, Miss., was a resident of Mobile and a former employee of Brookley Field. He attended Northwest Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses of Mobile. Survivors include a son, Bertran Edwards of Garden City, Mich.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Hodge's Funeral Home on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Friday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Burial will be in Plateau Cemetery in Plateau.
