Gracie Bowen McMillan, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023. She was born May 8,1930 to Charles and Nora Wooten in Marysville, TX.

Gracie loved people and touched many lives. She enjoyed spending time with family, Bible study, playing games, and watching football, especially her beloved Dallas Cowboys! She actively participated in church services and helped other residents and staff at Lakeshore Assisted Living. As a testament to her faith, Gracie often shared her favorite Bible verse, Hebrews 13:5 — "…Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (NIV)

Gracie is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Leon Bowen, deceased 1998, and husband Derral Dean McMillan, deceased 2019, and nine siblings. Survivors include daughters and their families, Deborah Dickens, Greg and Karla Crow, Don and Cindy Briscoe, grandchildren, Tiersa and Jason Reeves, Bob and Deonna Ashmore, Justin and Sara Crow, Bradley Crow, Lance and Jordan Winters, and Evan and Danielle Briscoe and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, additional survivors, Jim Dickens, Eric and Lori Camp, David and Lana Barnett, and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the Lakeshore Assisted Living and Memory Care staff especially Jenni, Julie, Danielle, Pam, Belinda, Darrell and a host of others who loved and cared for Gracie and supported her family throughout this difficult season. Brady, Silverstone Hospice, the attention and love you provided for her, and the family was above and beyond any expectations. She would have been honored to have known you. Aretha, Silverstone Hospice, we are so appreciative to you for the love and kindness you showed to mom each day. We know she felt that your visit was a special blessing.

Please join us in celebrating her life at Restland Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, 10:00 am, followed by a private family graveside service. Family visitation will be on Tuesday, August 22, 5:00-8:00 pm.
