Rosemary Gerthe, 70, of Ruidoso NM, formerly of Rockdale, TX passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at KPC Promise Hospital in Mesa, AZ.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will follow in Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.
Rosemary was born on November 8, 1952 to Monora and IB (Bounds) Jackson in Cameron. She married Christian Gerthe 53 years ago in the Nazarene Church in Rockdale on April 5. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and servant of the Lord. She was always taking care of her family in her most understanding, caring and loving way. She loved the Lord with all her mind, soul, heart and strength.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Monora and IB Jackson; and brothers, Andrew, Richard, and Johnny Jackson.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Christian Gerthe of Ruidoso, NM; sons, Eric Christian Gerthe and wife Cheryl of Ruidoso, NM; and Dieter Hagan Gerthe and wife Laura of Montgomery, TX; daughter, Kristina Katherine Scheer and husband Ben of Grapevine, TX; grandchildren, Christian, Kirstyn, Ethan, and Vera Rose; and sister Barbara Sue Needham of Rockdale.
