John Thomas (JT) Jackson, 54, of Rockdale died Monday, July 10, 2017, at his home.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 12, at Pleasant Retreat Church in Thorndale.

Mr. Jackson was born Jan. 7, 1963, in Rockdale to Monora and I.B. Bownds Jackson.

He attended school in Rockdale.

Mr. Jackson worked for many years at Crocker Reclamation.

He married Sandy Wiley, Dec. 10, 1995.

He enjoyed the outdoors and his two dogs, Nickola and Wendy.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Andrew Monora Jackson and Richard Dean Jackson.

Survivors are two sisters, Barbara Sue Needham and husband Billy, Rosemary Gerthe and husband Chris; his wife; a stepson Curtis Schwartz, Jr. of San Antonio; a stepdaughter, Sarah Hall Jackson; stepchildren, Lizzy, Craig and Junior of Arkansas.
