Barbara Jean Richardson, age 73, of Substation Road in Irvine, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center following a long illness. She was born November 24, 1949, in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl Conner Goosey. She retired from the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center where she worked as a Dietician. She was of the Holiness faith and had lived in Estill County all her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Elwood Richardson, and she is survived by:
1 son: Gregory (April) Richardson - Estill Co.
2 sisters: Brenda (Raymond) Logsdon - Madison Co.
Geraldine (Steve) Chaney - Estill Co.
1 brother: Billy Neal (Pam) Goosey - Estill Co.
Sister-in-Law: Linda Goosey - Estill Co.
4 grandchildren: Alexandria, Brandon, Nicholas, and Grant Richardson
3 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Ricky David Richardson, 1 sister, Shirley Ann Estes, and 3 brothers, Randall Joe, Elmer Jr., and Raymond Lewis Goosey.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 20, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will be at the Turpin Cemetery.
