George Noah Arnold, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Arnold of Bethalto, died at 4:15am today in St. Joseph's Hospital less than 12 hours after he had been admitted there for treatment for pneumonia.

Arnold had been ill for several weeks suffering from a complication of diseases and recently his condition was aggravated by the development of pneumonia. He was born in Richwood, Mo., and had been a resident of the Bethalto neighborhood for the past six years.

Besides his parents, he leaves four sisters: Mrs. F. E. Rutherford, Mrs. Edna Johnson, Miss Gladys and Miss Marie Arnold and one brother, Wilson Arnold, all of Bethalto.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2pm from the Methodist Church in Bethalto. Burial will be in Short Cemetery.
