Funeral Today For Frank Duran
Frank Duran Sr., 69 died Friday night at a local hospital following a brief illness.
Duran, a life-long and well known resident of Las Vegas, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ernesto Romero and Mrs. Pat Romero both of Las Vegas; five sons, Lee Duran, Tony Duran and Eloy Duran of Albuquerque, Frank Duran and Ernest Duran of Las Vegas; one sister, Mrs. Rita Apodaca of Las Vegas; 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rosary services for Duran were held Saturday and Sunday evening at the Gonzales Memorial Chapel. Funeral services were held this morning from Our Lady of Sorrows church where requiem high mass was celebrated by Msgr. H. C. Lomme.
Interment was at the San Jose cemetery with the following serving as honorary pallbearers: Pat Romero, Alonzo Mares, Felix Kavanaugh, Miguel Madrid, Eloy Ortiz and Apolonio
Duran and the following serving as casket bearers: Paul Sedillo, Jose Duran, Nick Kavanaugh, Paul Arguello, Bennie Romero and Joey Romero.
The eulogy at the graveside service was delivered by Jesus Martinez.
Gonzales Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
