Heaven became a little bit brighter as Grace A. A'Hearn, 93, of Minoa, entered into rest on Monday, August 7, 2023 at The Cottages at Garden Grove. Born April 16, 1930 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Clara Leo.
With her husband, James, she was the former president of the East Syracuse-Minoa Band Booster Club, and for many seasons she was a season ticket holder for Syracuse University basketball. Above all, she loved spending time with family and grandchildren, especially her new great-grandson, Leo.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James in 1984; daughter, Kelly A. A'Hearn in 2012; and sister, Rosemary Merrill.
Surviving are sons, James (Colleen) A'Hearn of Camillus, David A'Hearn of Syracuse; grandson, Joshua A'Hearn of Liverpool; granddaughter, Alyssa (Richard) Varga of Austin, TX; and great-grandson, Leo Varga.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 16 from 11am to 1pm at the R.H. Schepp Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp Corners Road, Minoa. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1pm. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa.
