James M. Ahearn was a native of Syracuse, and a custodian with the Fayetteville-Manlius School District. He was a former member of the Minoa Volunteer Fire Department and past president of the East Syracuse-Minoa Band Booster Club. He was also a member of St. Mary's Church, Minoa. He served with the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He resided on Minoa-Bridgeport Rd. East Syracuse, and was survived by his wife, Grace Leo Ahearn; two sons, James Ahearn of Los Angeles and David Ahearn of Marco Island, FL.; a daughter, Kelly Ahearn of Kirkville, and three brothers, Richard Ahearn of Milwaukee, and Robert Ahearn and Raymond Ahearn, both of Syracuse.
