Washington, D. C., Jan. 26 (AP). -- The death of Mrs. Anna P. Somervell, wife of Brig. Gen. Brehon B. Somervell; at Walter Reed hospital last night was announced today by the war department. Mrs. Somervell, who was 56 years old, was born in Chicago, Gen. Somervell is assistant chief of staff in charge of supply. In addition to her husband Mrs. Somervell leaves three daughters, Mary Ann, Susan, and Constance, of Welcome, Md.; a brother, E. D. Purnell, Joliet, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Len Darling, Los Angeles, Cal., and Miss Pauline Purnell, Bridgeport, Conn. Mrs. Somervell will be buried tomorrow in Arlington National cemetery.
