Funeral services will be held today at 2 p. m. in the Koosharem ward chapel for Wm. Manwill, 74, one of oldest resident who died Monday at his home of a stroke.
Mr. Manwill was born in Payson on September 29, 1885, the son of Moroni and Alice Manwill. When a small boy he came to Koosharem and had spent his entire life there. He endured many hardships being one of the early eaily settlers of Grass Valley. He marrried Thursa Schaugaard Anderson December 10, 1890. Twelve children were born to them, seven of whom survive. He also reared one stepson. He has done much good in the community in helping take care of the (?) and furnished enjoyment with his old time music. He was a great friend of the Indians, being able to understand their language.
He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lyman Hatch of Provo and Mrs. Mart Bagley of Koosharem; five sons, Edward Manwill of Sigurd, Bertram and Lamont Manwill of Provo, Bert Manwill and Wills Manwill of Koosharem; eighteen grand children; two brothers, Frank Manwill of Koosharem and Eldon Manwill of Provo; two sisters, Mrs. Soren Sorenson of Koosharem and Mrs. Frank Hancock of Payson.
