Mrs. Tower lived in Flint for several years before moving to her farm in Marion. She dearly enjoyed her last seven years at Kiwanis Manor in Charlotte. She liked spending time with her friends at Kiwanis Manor and the monthly birthday dinner celebrations, as well as the bingo parties. It also gave her great pleasure crocheting dresses for the Christmas dolls.
Survivors include her daughter, June Umbarger of Charlotte; grandchildren, Terry (Carla)Cleveland of Bancroft, Randy (Christie) Cleveland of Kaycee, WY, Candice Cleveland of Grand Ledge, Sheri (Bill) Charron of Harrison and Rick (Denise) Cleveland of Washington Township; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Tower; son, Leo; sisters, Opal and Oma; and brother, Vere.
