Young Boy Killed
Little Harry McKim, aged 13 years, was killed while gathering up coal along the railroad track near the C. & M. shops early yesterday morning.
The boy had stepped between two coal cars on a sidetrack to pick up a lump of coal when the shifter bumped into the cars on the sidetrack catching him between the bumpers and crushing him badly. The screams of his sister, who was near by, attracted the train crew, who rushed to him, only to find the lad in a dying condition.
The unfortunate boy was taken to Bair's undertaking establishment and prepared for burial after which he was transferred to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McKim, on Beckett avenue.
The funeral on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock will be conducted by Rev. J.S. McMunn and interment made in the Center cemetery.
The grieved parents have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
