Alameda [Ruble] Goldsberry was born to Joseph and Anna on June 17, 1870, in Centre County, Pennsylvania, where she lived for the first years of her life. At age 8, in 1880, Alameda lived with her parents and siblings in Marion, Bourbon County, Kansas, where her father worked as a Farmer (1880 Census). Alameda married James Proctor in 1889, producing two sons, Clyde L. and James Earl. In 1895, at age 23, Alameda, her husband, and son Clyde still lived in Bourbon (Source: in the Kansas, U.S., State Census Collection, 1855-1925). In 1900, at age 28, she lived with her husband James and sons Clyde and Earl in Tonkawa, Kay County, Oklahoma, where Jim worked as a Farmer (1900 Census). By 1910 they had moved to Oklahoma City, where Jim continued to work as a Farmer (1910 Census). By 1920, the Proctor family had moved to California, where they lived in Merced. James worked as a Truck Driver (1920 Census). The family moved to Turlock, where they lived in 1930. Jim managed a grain warehouse (1930 Census). James Proctor died in 1937, and Alameda married Charles Moore Goldsberry, and they moved to Live Oak in Santa Cruz County, California, where Alameda passed away on August 21, 1944. The family buried Alameda's remains at the Watsonville Pioneer Cemetery.
