Cindy Marie Utley, age 55, of Mattoon passed away at 8:23 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Memorial services honoring her life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Family Worship Center, 5475 Lerna Road Mattoon, Illinois 61938 with Pastor Brad Brown officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Cindy was born on August 9, 1965 in Mattoon the daughter of Charles Rono and Ruby Lorena (Gast) Bolen. She married Joseph Clinton Utley Jr. on August 7, 1993. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Lorena (Tad) Tran of Peoria, IL, Paul Weber Jr. of Mattoon, IL and Heather Utley of Mattoon, IL; grandchildren, Jordyn and River Utley, Scarlett and Enzo Tran; brother, Harvey Bolen of Mattoon, IL; sisters, Sandy (Bob) Ohm, Sharon (Brad) Newlin and Pam (Tom) Culp all of Mattoon, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronnie Bolen; and sister, Louise Bean.
Cindy will be remembered as a loving person with a big heart. She always went above and beyond to help others. Cindy enjoyed gardening, crafting, writing poetry and swimming. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Cindy will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
