Frances Elizabeth Eaves

Frances Elizabeth (Adams) Eaves, of Frederick, Maryland passed away peacefully and comfortably at home with her dear husband and family by her side on the morning of July 20, 2023 as a result of lifelong dealings with rheumatoid arthritis and heart issues. Frances was born March 26, 1945 in Middletown, Maryland to the late William Ross Adams, Sr. and Irene Elizabeth (Wolfe) Adams. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1963 and received a BS In Secondary Mathematics Education from Frostburg State College in 1967. While at Frostburg, Frances met her beloved husband, Paul Edward (Ed) Eaves, and they were married on July 13, 1969 at Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown. She taught math and science at Middletown Junior/Senior High School from 1967-1970 until deciding to stay home to raise a family and settle in Frederick where the two newlywed educators had decided to call home.
This kind and caring soul, known as Franny to family and friends, who is now experiencing complete peace and tranquility with God through her Lord Jesus Christ, is survived by her husband, Ed, with whom she just celebrated 54 years of committed and blissful marriage. In addition, Franny is survived by two loving sons, Brian Eaves of Frederick, Maryland and Danny Eaves of Walkersville, Maryland; She will also be greatly missed by her three adoring grandchildren Tyler, Brady, and Riley Eaves, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Franny is survived by two sisters, Bobby (Tommy) Angleberger and Debbie (Gary) Crouse; as well as sister-in-law Barbara Adams, widow of brother William R. Adams, Jr. who preceded her in death.
Franny was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 50 years where she taught children's Sunday school and sang in the church choir as well. The music and singing wouldn't stop at church, as a constant flow of southern country gospel music could be heard throughout the home as she loved singing and listening to the tunes and melodies of her favorites such as The Statler Brothers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Bill Gaither, Dixie Echoes, and William Lee Golden and the Goldens. She also loved working part-time for Weight Watchers in Frederick as a receptionist for a number of years until health issues became more prevalent in the early 1990's.
Franny was known to have many roles during her time on this Earth: dearly devoted wife, compassionate and selfless mother, and the most obvious being that of Grandma to her three grandchildren she infinitely treasured. Throughout her lifetime, her beautiful and loving essence could be seen and felt by everyone around her. Franny's protective and dedicated nature combined with her goofy and silly demeanor was definitely the trademark of her personality. Her total selflessness with regards to having everyone's best interest at heart is what has defined this amazing woman of integrity.
Franny especially had fond memories of the family trips to Disney World and Niagara Falls with Ed and their boys. She would also never miss an opportunity to play games, read books, do arts and crafts, cook, and just be silly with her kids and grandkids (or any other little ones who she would be caring for at any given moment). Franny's kind heart was instantly apparent to anyone who was blessed to have known her, while her smile and laugh were equally contagious.
Franny always faced her numerous medical issues with courage and strength which is a testament to the tremendous grit she fearlessly demonstrated throughout the most difficult of times. For everything that she has had to deal with medically, she is by far one of the toughest and most resilient human beings to have walked this Earth. She maintained a sense of humor and selfless concern for others even though suffering through physical pain herself much of her glorious and celebrated life. Franny is now at peaceful and eternal rest and completely free of any pain and suffering, leaving only nothing but beautiful memories. She, without a doubt, fought the good fight and finished the race all while keeping her Christian faith shining bright for all to see.
The family would like to thank the many nurses, physicians, and other medical professionals who treated and cared for Franny whenever she was a patient at Frederick Health Hospital; specifically, Dr. Sarah Oliveira and her staff of the Palliative Care Program and the entire Home Hospice staff of Frederick Health. In addition, the family cannot verbalize enough gratitude to Dr. Michael Levangie who was Franny's cardiologist for almost 30 years.
A public funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11am at Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown, Maryland. Interment will take place at Zion Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
