Juanita L. Vialpando passed away May 27, 2005 at the Trinidad State Nursing Home. She was born March 26, 1935 to Andres and Faye Griego in Greeley, Colorado. She was 70 years old.
Juanita taught religious education for many years. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and fishing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infants Marie and Joseph; sisters Beatrice Baca and Regina Vialpando.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joe; children Fernando (Pam) Vialpando, Bridget (Bruce) Vialpando, and Delfinia (Lawrence) Vialpando; grandchildren Monica, Darlene and Johnathon Encinias, Stacey Vialpando, Nicole and Derek Vigil, Jesika and Brett Santistevan; great-grandchildren Saphire, Skylyne, Brandon, Sierra, Hayley, Abram, Kiin, and Diana; brother and sister-in-law Edward (Elvira) Griego; sisters and brothers-in-law Margaret (Orlando) Trujillo and Marlene (Gary) Gruntich; brothers-in-laws Marty and Lee Vialpando; sisters-in-law Stella Trujillo and Dolores Vialpando.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1 from 2 PM-7 PM at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will follow at 7 PM. Memorial mass will be held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 11:00AM at San Isidro Church, Vigil, CO with Father Gene Renard officiating.
