Obituary:
Myra (Ruth) Huett, the daughter of Steven J. and Myra Merle Hanna, was born May 2, 1925, in Baker, Oregon, and departed this life on May 24, 2023, in Ellington, Missouri. She had attained the age of 98.
Ruth married Orville Huett in 1939 and to this union 3 children were born, Daisy Huett Montgomery, Donald Jay Huett and Dianna Mae Meade. Orville passed away in May of 1993. Ruth had resided in Ellington for most of her life. Her and her husband had lived and worked on a cattle farm for 60 some years and in later years had to leave the farm and live with her daughter, Dianna and husband Albert Meade. She was of the Southern Baptist faith. Ruth loved to cook and was well known for her chicken and dumplings, fried chicken and blackberry cobbler. She loved for her family to come visit and loved her grandchildren very much.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Albert Hanna, and 2 sisters, Marjorie Schwandt and Josephine Davison.
Ruth is survived by one son, Donald Jay Huett and wife Lahoma of Ellington, Missouri, 2 daughters, Daisy Ruth Montgomery of Mehlville, Missouri, and Dianna Mae Meade and husband Albert of Ellington, Missouri, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and a good friend, David Thompson. She was much loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
