Extract from "Biographical Sketches of Graduates of Yale, 1778-1792, Vol. IV", pub. 1907:
JONATHAN FRISBIE, son of Noah and Margery (Post) Frisbie, was born in Bethlehem parish, in Woodbury, Connecticut, on November 10, 1761. He was prepared for College by the Rev. Ammi R. Robbins, of Norfolk. He settled in Norwich, Connecticut, as a lawyer, and died there in 1804, in his 57th year. His widow, Abigail, died in Norwich, after a long and severe illness, in 1807, aged 46 years. They left no children, and Mrs Frisbie's tombstone was erected by her nephew, Charles F. Harrington.

Connecticut Newspaper Notices (Hale Collection):
April 8, 1807, Norwich -- DIED. Mrs Abigail Frisby, relict of late Jonathan Frisby, age 72.

Abigail's will notes that her nephew, Charles F Harrington, is also her adopted child.

This Abigail and the Jonathan Frisby she's connected to need some serious research done to sort them out. Nothing works for dates or places. I believe that the Yale Graduates book confused two Jonathan Frisbies in 1912 and that it's been going on ever since. This is probably Abigail Brewster, daughter of Abel & Rachel (Wetmore) Brewster, born on 15 Jul 1762. Read the extract I've posted above, and you'll see where it falls apart. There have two be TWO (or more) Jonathan Frisbies floating around at the same time, one born in 1750, the other in 1761. One appears to have died in 1804, one in 1814. Everyone's trees want to say something different about which one belongs with which dates. Or they give them each one right and one wrong date. Anyway, perhaps a family member will come along with unpublished info. I hope so, because this is a mess.
