Richard Gustafson, 79, of Santee, NE, passed away on July 15, 2023. He was born July 13, 1944, the son of Walfred & Helena Chase Gustafson.
Member of the Santee Sioux Indian Tribe of Nebraska. He was proud of his heritage. Richard served in the United States Army for 7 years.
He & Clara Frances "Dozzy" Laushman were married & had two sons, Michael, Rick & two daughters, Suzy & Angie. They later divorced.
Richard is survived by his wife, Judy White-Gustafson; his children, Richard (Sharon) Gustafson, Angela (Mark) Hook, Suzanne Kriegler, three step children, Jacqueline White, Jenea White, and Bradley (Kia) White Jr.; eighteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Joanne Ritchey and son, Joe; Edna Brien, and Dorothy Eggleston; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Gustafson; a great-granddaughter, Alivia Docken; his parents, Walfred and Helena Gustafson; a brother, Swede Gustafson; & a sister, Dolores Brown.
Services will be at Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home Chapel, 5108 F Street, Omaha, NE 68117 on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, 4:00pm - 8:00pm.
Gravesite services for Richard Gustafson will be at Holy Faith Cemetery, Lindy, NE on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Judy for funeral expenses.
