Wilfred "Swede" Joseph Gustafson

Wilfred "Swede" J. Gustafson, 92, passed away on December 8, 2021 at Northcrest Living Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He was born April 6, 1929 in Bloomfield, Nebraska, the son of Walfred Gideon & Helena (Chase) Gustafson.
He attended schools in Niobrara, Nebraska, then signed up for the US Army, serving in Korea.
Swede was a proud Native American from the Santee Sioux Tribe of upper Nebraska. He lived in Denver, Colorado and owned his own business. But most recently he lived in Omaha, Nebraska.
Swede married Loretta Frazier and they had three sons.
Swede leaves behind him to mourn, his three sons, Will, Don & his wife, Mary, Jerry & his wife, Theresa. Also surviving, he leaves a brother, Richard & his wife Judy; three sisters, Dottie, Edna, & Joann; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; both of his wives, Loretta (Frazier) Gustafson, & Pat (Biggs) Gustafson; and his sister, Delores; and all of his dogs.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021, at Oyate Oyanke Community Center in Santee, Nebraska. Reverend James Marrs will officiate, with burial in Holy Faith Cemetery in Lindy, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home Creighton, Nebraska.

Funeral services for Wilfred Gustafson, age 92, formerly of Bloomfield, Nebraska, will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021, at Oyate Oyanke Community Center in Santee, Nebraska. Reverend James Marrs will officiate, with burial in Hobu Creek Cemetery in Lindy, Nebraska.
