Born in Brunswick County, NC on October 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Troy Caison and Pearl Hewett Caison. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John Coolidge Johnson, a son David Allen Johnson, grandsons Eugene Lancaster, III, Richard Leon Lancaster and all her siblings.
She was a member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church where she was a choir member and was active in the former Coastline Rescue Squad where she served as dispatcher.
Surviving is a daughter, Gayle Lancaster (Eugene), Varnamtown, NC; sons John Johnson (Janet), Supply, NC and Phillip Johnson, Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren Jeremy, Justin, Jennifer, Phillip and Lee; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 4:00pm in Sabbath Home Baptist Church. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
