• MILL CREEK -- Graveside service for Rosco Pitman, 87, Roff, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mill Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry George officiating.

Born Sept. 28, 1914, in Texas, to Alfred and Linnie McMillan Pitman, he died July 7, 2002, in Sulphur.

Raised in western Oklahoma, he had lived in this area for more than 50 years and in Roff since 1970. He was a mechanic and welder. He and Maxine Coffee were married on Dec. 23, 1942, in Tishomingo.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Gene, Newcastle, Jerry, Mannsville, and Gary, Tishomingo; a brother, D.F., Tishomingo; a sister, Leona Labruzzio, Mill Creek; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Shelton; a son, Frank; four sisters; and four brothers.

Clagg Funeral Home will direct services.
