Roberta Louise McDivitt passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023, at the age of 94.
Louise was the last living child of 6 kids, born to Robert H. and Amanda Garvin in Anthony, Kansas. She was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority and graduated from Kansas University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. In 1958, she married David T. Sprague, DDS and they welcomed twin boys in 1960. Sadly, Dave passed just two years later. She then met and married Richard F. McDivitt in 1967 and they welcomed a baby girl one year later. Louise and Frank celebrated almost 53 years of marriage before his passing in 2019.

Louise found great joy in babysitting her grandchildren. Among her many talents, she was a wonderful pianist, an excellent seamstress and a proficient typist. Her apple pies were perfection....and her slices were huge! She and Frank enjoyed traveling abroad and were avid bridge players. Her most favorite hobby was playing bingo and she often boasted that she could play 36 cards at once! She won the OK State Fair Senior Spelling Bee twice and took 2nd place several times. She was extremely proud of that considering she was in her late 70's when she entered. Louise was a loyal friend to many and outlived all but a few.
