Samuel S. Lasher, prominent contractor and builder, passed away during the night in the family home at 1178 West Twenty-First Street. No Illness preceded his sudden death which is attributed to heart disease. He was in Los Angeles yesterday attending a hearing on the Cabrillo Beach proposition and seemed to be in the best of health. Mr. Lasher is survived by his wife and three young daughters. He was born in Pittsburgh and came to California several years ago. He has resided In San Pedro for the past seven years and was prominent In Masonic circles. He was 47 years of age. The funeral services are pending the arrival of Mrs. Lasher's parents who are now enroute to San Pedro from Bishop, California. The Cleveland parlors have charge of the funeral arrangements and services will be held early next week.

Samuel Smith Lasher, of San Pedro, Los Angeles California, died September 20, 1924, at his home. He was born May 13, 1877 in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife Mary Augusta "Gussie" Morgan Lasher and the following children; Mary Katherine Lasher, Hazel Morgana Lasher, Evelyn Mae Lasher, Barbara Ella Lasher. An additional daughter Edna Marie Lasher was born October 25, 1924, just 4 ½ weeks after his death.
