J P. Cunningham a prominent farmer who resides southwest of the city four miles started to the O’Brien sale last Wednesday. Peter Long started a while later and found Mr. Cunningham’s buggy on the side of the road west of the Jacob’s farm.. Mr. Cunningham was sitting in the seat dead. He had been afflicted with heart trouble for some time but no one thought the man in a dangerous condition. The body was taken to the Jacob’s residence and doctors called who hurried out but could do nothing, Mr. Cunningham and family moved here from Boone county four years ago. The son married Miss Price and one of the daughters married Ernest Freil. All the members of the family have the respect and confidence of all their neighbors and they have the sympathy of a host of warm friends in their loss of husband and father.
