Mary Nancy Ziglar Stone, 43 years 11 months and 30 days of age, a resident of Somerset, Kentucky for many years, departed this life at the Danville Hospital at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11th, 1946 following an illness of three weeks.

Mary was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on December 12th, 1902, daughter of Julius Jesse Ziglar and Matlida Watson Zigler. She was the wife of Cyrus McKennley "Lasses" Stone, whom she married on July 3rd, 1925, from this union were born five children. She united with the Baptist Church in 1919 and lived a Christian life, consecrated to the teachings of Christ.

Mary was survived by her loving husband of twenty-one years, Cyrus McKennley Stone, whom she married in Slate Branch, Kentucky on Friday, July 3rd, 1925 with Rev. Sebron F. Ashbrook officiating; one daughter, Evelyn Christine (and husband, Talbert "Rex") Foster; four sons, Pvt. Jessie Marion "Jess" Stone (who was in Germany at the time of her death), Herbert McKennley "Herb" (and wife, Anna Mae) Stone, James Edward "Jim" Stone, and Kenneth R. "Ken" Stone; her parents, Jesse Ziglar and Lydia Watson Ziglar of Slate Branch, Kentucky; five brothers, William Ziglar, Thomas Ziglar, John Ziglar, Chester Ziglar, and Lester Ziglar; one sister, Roxie Ellene Ziglar Mayfield; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Homer Ziglar, who departed this life on September 24th, 1934 at the age of 23 while working on a logging crew in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15th, 1946 at the Langdon Street Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Randall and Rev. Harold Johnson officiating.

The Somerset Undertaking Company was in charge of the arrangements for Mary.

Musical selections were: In The Garden, Precious Memories, and Kneel At The Cross. The pianist was Joyce Hughes. Her pallbearers were: L. Childness, W.H. Banett, Lee Girdler, M.D. Roy, H. Shadowens, and O. Godby.

Interment followed in the Tanner Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
