He was a native of Kerr County and had lived at Mountain Home for 75 years. He was a rancher, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Kerrville Masonic Lodge, AF & AM. He married Iva Belle Stone in Kerrville.
He is survived by his wife; one sister, Mrs. Annie Secrest of Uvalde and several nieces and nephews.
