John Hutchinson, a well known man of this county, was found dead in the public road ab out two and one half miles from the town of Lester last Friday. The body was first discovered by Mrs Dennis O'Neal and it had apparently been there for about twenty-four hours.
Mr Hutchinson was a brother of Rev A L Hutchinson of Albuquerque, N M, and Lewis Hutchinson, of this county, and was 56 years of age. The deceased had no family and was making his home with relatives. Squire Epson Cook held an inquest over the body, the jury returned a verdict that the deceased had come to his death from natural causes. About $170 in cash and notes were found in the pockets of the deceased.
Interment was made in the Bryson cemetery last Sunday witnessed by a large number of relatives and friends.

The Raleigh Register says: John M Hutchinson, one of the best known men of Raleigh county, died some time last Thursday while returning to his sister's home, Mrs John Tolley, after a visit with friends. His body was found Friday morning lying by the roadside about two miles form Lester.
On account of the peculiar circumstances surrounding his death an inquest was deemed necessary. A coroner's jury was pressed into service and the inquest conducted by Justice of the Peace Epson Cook, and a verdict of death by heart failure was returned.
Mr Hutchinson was 62 years of age and a man of wide acquaintances in Raleigh county. He lived among his relatives, making his home first in one part of the county and then in another and was loved and respected alike by his relatives and hosts of friends. At the time of his death he was making his home with his sister, Mrs John Tolley, at Lester.
He was a brother of the Rev A L Hutchinson and a first cousin of Prosecuting Attorney John Q Hutchinson.
