Shirley Holder Bowman of Boomer passed away October 29, 2017 at Avante of Wilkesboro.

She was born June 11, 1940 in Wilkes County to James Commodore and Daisy Evelyn Adams Holder.

Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her daughter, Terri Bounds (Kevin); son, David Bowman (Teresa); sisters, Eddis Griffin, Gladys Lane, Martha "Grace" Johnson (Bob); special brother-in-law, Johnnie Lowe; five grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Little Rock Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
