Mrs. Virginia Holder Lowe, age 80, of Boomer, died this morning, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. She was born May 15, 1934 in Wilkes County to James "Comm" and Daisy Minton Holder. Mrs. Lowe was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church. She loved animals, gardening, flowers and was an expert seamstress. Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Avery Holder, Theodore Holder, Joseph Holder, Clyde Holder, Rev. Earl Adams, Walter Adams and four sisters, Pansy Holder, Flora Holder, Martha Holder, Ola Byrd.
Surviving are her husband, Johnnie Lowe of the home; two daughters, Heather Lowe of Millers Creek, Jennifer and Randy Johnson of Wilkesboro; and four sisters, Eddis Griffin of Boomer, Gladys Lane, Grace Johnson both of Moravian Falls, Shirley Bowman of Boomer.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 o'clock Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Little Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Webb officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock Friday night. The family has requested no flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Wilkes, PO Box 306, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements
