Charles J. Dougherty, 54 years old, died at his home, three miles west on Central Avenue Saturday afternoon after a short illness. He owned a large orchard there and had lived near Wichita for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Raymond, Ralph, Charles Jr.,; two daughters, Agnes and Lily; four brothers, L.J., Edward, C.X. and S.C.; one sister, Emma, of Wichita. Funeral services will be held from St. Joseph's Catholic church tomorrow morning by Father D.J. Healy. The City Undertaking Company is in charge.
