Lewis Dougherty, 45 years of age, a resident of Wichita for more than 20 years, died at the Dougherty residence, near Mt. Carmel academy, last night. He had been ill for several months of anemia. He resided with his brother John and sister, Miss Emma Dougherty. Besides these, four brothers survive. They are C.X. Dougherty of Los Angeles, California, Frank Dougherty of Seattle, Washington, C.J. and E.H. Dougherty, both residing on farms west of the city.

Mr. Dougherty was well known in Wichita and had many friends here. He was a member of a well known family, most of whom are farmers in this county, and all of whom are highly respected in this section of the state.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
