Robert Eyre Slack 1947 ~ 2004 Park City, UT - The love of my life and best friend, Robert E. Slack, age 56, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 4, 2004, after a three year battle with cancer. Born October 13, 1947 in Cheyenne, Wyoming the son of Victor J and Jacqueline Eyre Slack. Married Joan A. Holzmann July 16, 1988 in Las Vegas, NV. Robert served a distinguished Air Force career flying F-4 Phantoms from October 1971 - October 1991. Following retirement from the Air Force he flew 727s, 757s and MD-80s for Delta Airlines until his death. He is survived by his wife, Joan A. Slack of Park City, UT; two daughters: Jennifer J. Williams of Ft. Collins, CO; Sara M. Hodge of Grapevine, TX; two grandchildren: Trystan and Jade Williams; father, Victor J. Slack; two brothers: Bill (Bonnie) Slack, John (Judy) Slack, both of Sheridan, WY; one sister, Mary Kay (Jim) Schwalb of Omaha, NE. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Ware, mother, Jacqueline Slack, and his grandparents. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Karen Albritton Research Fund, 2002 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2004 - 10:30 a.m. in the Park City Community Church, 4501 North Hwy 224, Park City, Utah, with military honors provided by Hill Air Force Base. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2004 0 10:30 a.m. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Big Horn, Wyoming. Arrangements are in the care of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home.
