JONESBORO - The Rev. Sam Rider, 72, of Hodge died Monday afternoon in Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a sudden illness.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Hodge United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Jimmy Miller and the Rev. R.P. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Hodge Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Odessa Ridge of Hodge and three sisters, Dora Massey of Ferriday, Margaret Hill of Sulphur and Gladys Dale of Haynesville.
