Bonnie Sue Fisher passed from this life to the next on July 2, 2022.

Bonnie was born on October 2, 1942 in Ada, Oklahoma to Robert Wesley Childress and Florence Elizabeth (Webster) Childress.

She was a graduate of Bastrop High School and married Robert Morris Wiley, Jr. From this union they had three children, Mary Sue, Wesley Oren and Robert Morris, III.

She was a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation and was a very proud Native American.

After her husband's death, she met the love of her life Michael C. Fisher. They had a wonderful life for 43 years until his death in 2017.

Bonnie was a wonderful mother to not only her children but also those she "adopted". She was a homeroom mom, Scout leader and supported whatever activities her children were involved in.

She worked as a paralegal for Attorney Neal Pfeiffer and enjoyed the work. When she retired, you could find her and Mike taking annual trips to Bossier City to enjoy a little casino time.

She is survived by her children, her daughter, Mary Sue (Wiley) Leathers and husband Robert, her sons, Wesley Oren Wiley, Robert Morris Wiley, III and wife Etta. Seven grandchildren - Amber Michelle Howell and husband Lance, Robert Michael Leathers and wife Maria, Billy Joe Leathers, Cordtland Wiley and wife Nasha, Christopher Fletcher and wife Stacey, Sara Wiley and Michael Clay Wiley and wife Jessie.Ten great grandchildren She is also survived by her siblings-Betty Thursby, Walter Childress, Roberta Stoebner and Ralph Childress.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Bastrop Food Pantry, Bastrop, Texas. Bonnie was a longtime supporter of this nonprofit.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

The Graveside Service will be 10:00am on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.
