Funeral services for Harold "Pete" Biggs, 77, of Forsyth, will be held March 21, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home with Pastor David Holvick officiating. Burial will follow in the Forsyth Swan Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the Korean War Veterans Association Honor Guard. Visitation was held March 20, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home with masonic services conducted by the Masonic Lodge #453. Arrangements are under the direction of Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home.

Mr. Biggs died March 19, 2008, in the Point Lookout Nursing & Rehab.
Harold was born the son of Ed and Goldie (Braden) Biggs and he grew up in Forsyth. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1951 and served on the USS Henderson during the Korean War.

He was awarded the Korean War Service Medal with four stars and was discharged in 1953. He lived in the Kansas City area for 50 years before retiring and moving to Forsyth. He was a member of the Riverview Bible Baptist Church and the Forsyth Masonic Lodge #453 where he served as Past Master.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim, Dewie, and Harry Biggs; and sister, Gladis Wolf.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Genova and her husband Mark, of Nortonville, Kan., and Susan Comer and her husband Daniel, of Kansas City, Kan.; brother, Emmett Biggs, of Taneyville; sister, Nan Casey and her husband John, of Blue Springs; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Pete Biggs may be made to the Riverview Bible Baptist Church in Forsyth.
