Julia Abell Berger Carothers, 71, of Louisville passed on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Nazareth Home. Born on February 4, 1952 in Louisville,

Julia retired after 46 years as a comptroller with Berkshire Hathaway/Parks & Weisburg Realtors and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Gilda's Club Kentuckiana.

She is preceded in death by her Husbands David H. Berger and Francis Robert Carothers Jr.; and her Parents George Hocker Abell and Sarah Louise (Spalding) Abell.

Left to cherish her memory are her 2 Sons David Andrew Berger (Rachel) and Aaron Spalding Berger (Racheal); Step-Daughter Kathleen "Kate" Meehan (Gerry); Step-Sons F. Robert "Rob" Carothers, III (Becky) and Mark Carothers (Allison). Her Siblings Damian Abell (Linda), Burke Stephens (Rick), Sally Williams (Terry), George Abell (Debbie), Bill Abell (Michelle), Joe Abell (Ronni), Martha Osborne, Donna Jackson (David), Vincent Abell (Marla), Theresa Melhorn (Bob), Carolyn Breit (Larry), Rita McCubbin (Perry), Laura Shaw, and Joyce Abell; Her Grandchildren Bethany Nicole Jones, Brenley Marie Berger, Emily Ann Berger and Logan David Berger; Step-Grandchildren, Bennett, Ryan, Stella, Camden, and Campbell Carothers; one Great Grandchild Everlee Bren Gullion; She is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 2-8 pm. and on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 9 am until 10 am at St Michael Catholic Church 3705 Stone Lakes Drive. Her Mass will begin after visiting Friday 10 am at St. Michael Catholic Church. Her Burial will be private.
