AT REST

Died --
March 31, 1915, Gary Heckinger, aged 43 years, 10 months and 10 days.

Guy Heckinger came to the Black Hills in 1886. In 1889 he came to Crook county, locating on Williams Divide. About two years later he returned to Lead, South Dakota and work for the Hearst Mercantile Company. He came again to the Williams Divide. In 1910 he went to Canada. On March 8th he arrived at the home and his brother H . A. Heckinge in a rather serious condition and on the afternoon of the 31st he quietly passed into the silent land. His long residence in the severe Canadian climate, was no doubt the inducing cause of his ill health. Everything that skill and care could provide was given to him in loving ministry; but without avail to stay the final call of the unseen messenger, who, sooner or later, summons all the children of men.

Guy Heckinger leaves a brother H. A. Heckinger of Sundance; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Jordan of Portland,Oregon; Mrs. May Guidinger and Mrs. Addie McWhirter; and two-half brothers, R. A. Heckinger of Portland, Oregon, and George H. Heckinger of Pueblo, Colorado.

The funeral service was held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church Rev. A. G. Voight officiating. The interment was at the city Cemetery.
