Isaac M. Emerson was born in 1831 to Robert Emerson and his wife Polly Kimmey Emerson. Isaac married Sarah L. Bracy and they had five children: Alonzo Edward, Luna, Clark, Frank and Elvira Birdena. Isaac and Sarah farmed some land on Townline Road near Union City, Pennsylvania and later after their deaths, the house was moved and still stands on Route 6 going toward Mill Village. Sarah died July 31, 1898 and sometime before his death, Isaac married Eunice Hall. Isaac died in 1914 at the age of eighty three, having been totally blind for over ten years prior to his death. He was buried in the Asbury Cemetery, now the West Union Cemetery, next to his first wife. He was survived by his children Luna Huntly, Clark and Frank Emerson and daughter Birdena.
