Polly Kimmey was born June 12, 1812 in Pennsylvania (most likely Erie County). She married Robert Emerson (Emmerson) about 1830 in Erie County, Pennsylvania and their children were: Isaac M., Franklin, Ezra Nathan, Mary J., Robert Jr. and Emily. Polly died about 1850 in Union Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania and is believed to be buried in the West Union (Asbury) Cemetery there (no tombstone). Over the years, I believe Polly and Robert's second wife Mary have been seen as the same person. Using the death certificate of son Ezra and the 1850 and 1860 census records, this is what is logical and makes sense. Polly had six children, died and Robert married Mary (Cattrell, Cottrell or Kile: all versions have been seen). Mary married Robert in 1851, she had been born in 1811. Being forty years old, she had probably already been married. I believe her name was Cottrell and that her first husband had been a Kile. Robert and Mary ended up with three children: Anna, Delia and Lizzy.
