Ernestine Law "Meme" Bennett, 90, of Bay City passed away June 19, 2023. She was born April 25, 1933 in New York to the late Ernest Law.

Meme enjoyed traveling with her Sam's RV club, playing bridge with her bridge club, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She collected everything that had a chicken or rooster on it. Her main focus was her family. She was the best mom to her two sons, the best Meme to her granddaughters, and her great grandkids. She loved with all her heart. She was the glue that held everything together. Her hugs were the best! She was the one you called when you weren't feeling well - her voice made you instantly feel better. She might even bring you her homemade chicken noodle soup. She worked as a Teacher's Aid for the Bay City ISD for 20 yrs.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Eugene Bennett and son Gregg Alan Bennett. Survivors include son Roger Edwin Bennett; granddaughters Heather Bennett and Renee Mitchell (Tommy); great grandchildren Federico Munoz III and Amber Munoz and Tanner and Bailey Mitchell and her cousin Wanda Lynn Pepper (Joe).

Visitation will be at 9:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Nichols Street Church of Christ. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. The family would like to thank all the caregivers she had at home and the staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
