Leta Mae Henson, age 88, of Claremore, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at her home.
Leta was born on July 27, 1934, in Bentonville, Arkansas, the daughter Benny Arthur and Grace Marie (Drain) McClelland.
She spent most of her life in northwest Arkansas,
Leta loved spending time with family. Her favorite pastime was watching hummingbirds
Leta was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Sheran Henson, Loy Donald "Don" Daniel, Billy Daniel, Robert Franklin "Bobby" Daniel, Ronald Daniel; sisters; Evelynn "Dean" Daniels and Helen Sturdivant; two grandchildren. Audra Daniel and Angela Daniel; and the father of herchildren, Lee Roy Daniel.
Leta is survived by her children; Jacquetta Lynn Eimer of Claremore; Ricky Lee Daniel of Augusta, Arkansas, John Arthur (and Dejuana) Daniel of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Michelle, daughter-in-law Sue Daniel of Fayetteville, and son-in-law William Henson of Farmington, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; ;28 great grandchildren; 6 Great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Strain Cemetery, east of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be 4:00-5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
