Funeral services for Jean P. Cooley, 84, of Waynesboro, were held Wednesday, March 26, 2008, from the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, with the Rev. Paul McDonald officiating.
Interment was in the Waynesboro Cemetery.
Born Feb. 23, 1924, and a native of Clarke County, Cooley was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, where she was a member of the church choir for more than 60 years.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Cooley and wife Beverly of Waynesboro, and James "Budder" Cooley and wife Glenna of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Robin Cooley Hunter of Birmingham, Ala., Robert Cooley of Waynesboro, and Allison Cooley Clark of Waynesboro; and three great-grandchildren, Carolyn Hunter and Patton Hunter of Birmingham, Ala., and Adison Clark of Waynesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Cooley Sr., and a brother, James Kearney Pace Jr.
Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of arrangements.
