Spargo, Betty Jean, 86, of Mechanicsville, passed away on June 13, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Ruby Lasater; and her sister Elaine McMurphy. She is survived by her two daughters, Gwendolyn Clingman (Ed) and Leslie Spargo; two grandchildren, Ryan Clingman (Julie) and Lauren Tartini (Devin); and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of Broadus Memorial Baptist Church and the Lydia Sunday School Class. Services will be private.
