Mrs. Inez Nevada Wirshing Hardy passed away Friday, Aug. 4 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Westlock, Alberta, Canada to Frank and Vesta Wirshing. She graduated from Rapid City (South Dakota) High School in 1932. Shortly after graduation, Ines met and married her husband of 59 years, Coleman Hardy.

In 1934, the couple returned to Coleman's home in the mountains of North Alabama, where they lived, worked and raised their three children. Ines was baptized in 1939 in the creek in Key, Ala.

Ines was and accomplished artist who created many beautiful oil paintings, crafts and hand-sewn quilts, which she lovingly gave as gifts, and they were the cherished possessions of her family.

Services were Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m., in Perry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Poe officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Memory Gardens with Perry Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by a son, John Hardy (Joanne) of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Irene Maguire of Norman, Ok.; a sister, Ruth Barnes of Valentine, NE., eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, two brothers, Roy Wirshing and Wayne Wirshing; a son Frank Hardy and a granddaughter, Gail Hendry.
