Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Pierces Corners First Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. P. D. Mang of Brasie Corners and Rev. Mr. Taylor of Pierces Corners officiating. Burial was in Pierce's Corners cemetery.
Mrs. Washburn who had lived in the town of Macomb for over 50 years, was a native of Canada, having been born there on October 25, 1862 a daughter of James T. and Adelaide Haines Brown. She came to this country at the age of ten, moving to a St. Lawrence County farm with her parents.
On April 26, 1887, she married Sylvester Washburn in a ceremony performed at Lisbon and teh couple took up residence on a farm in the town of Macomb. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in April of last year.
Mrs. Washburn had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Pierces Corners for the past 50 years.
Surviving besdies the husband are five sons, James Washburn, San Diego, California; Judson Washburn, Cleveland, Ohio; Clark Washburn, Black River; Alvin Washburn, Macomb; and two daughters, Mrs. Ada Mullen of Rossie and Mrs. Edna Young of Ogdensburg.
