She married Harry C. Armstrong on October 4, 1956. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children that include Tad Armstrong (Mel), Pam Stullken (Bill) and Amy Ducharme (Derek); nine grandchildren that include Ben Armstrong, Beth (Jack) Duffy, Ian (Trisha) Thomas, Meghan (Brian) Grimmer, Megan Madrid, Hans (Sarah) Stullken, Wolfgang Stullken, Ashlee Ducharme and Harry Ducharme; and, eleven great grandchildren that include Gabrielle White, Madison White, Mason Duffy, Emerson Thomas, Gracie Grimmer, Dean Grimmer, Willem Madrid, Sebastian Madrid, Bella Stullken, Violet Stullken and Olive Stullken.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville. Her passions included her family, her dogs, travel, flower gardening, vacationing in Vail, Colorado, golf, her bridge club, and her devotion to her P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Besides her parents and husband, Marylyn was preceded in death by brothers Samuel Edward and Luther Benard Allgood and brother George Kenneth Branch.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, at The Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1400 St. Louis Street, Edwardsville, Illinois. Services begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel with Pastor John Hembruch officiating. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
Memorials to the Metro East Humane Society (8495 State Route 143, Edwardsville, IL 62025) are suggested.
