Rosie and Ernest had no children.
Granddaughter of James Madison Bradley & Mary A "Mollie" Locklin and Lorenzo Dowe Sims & Rosie Lucindy Hopkins.
Rosie died in Walton Co., GA.

Rose Bradley Cheek
Rose Bradley Cheek one of Walton County's oldest residents, went to be with the Lord March 10, 2008, at the age of 103. She died at the Walton Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Cheek was married to Ernest Willie Cheek for 76 years; he died in 2003 at the age of 100. They lived most of their lives in Walton County.
The funeral was held March 12, 2008 at Bethabara Baptist Church, 4651 Monroe Highway, Statham, GA 30666. Meadows Funeral Home directors. Donations to the church would be appreciated. Rev. Rob Bray and Rev. Frank Johnson officiated at the funeral. Several family members and friends also shared their memories at the service. She was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder, GA.
As noted at the funeral service, Mr. & Mrs. Cheek had no biological children of their own, but were thought of as real parents and caretakers to many in the family and community.
Mr. & Mrs. Cheek were active members of Bethabara Baptist Church and were involved in dairy farming and gardening. Rose is especially remembered in the community for her compassion and visiting with the sick. She prepared many delicious meals, mostly with food grown in their garden. Mrs. Cheek attended the old A & M School at Walker Park. She then taught school at Mountain Academy just outside Monroe for a few years.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews who are: Harriet (Bradley) Biggers and Jerry Biggers of Loganville; David and Mary Ellen Bradley of Dallas, GA; Dr. Leslie Bradley of Baltimore, MD; Jean (Sims) Patat and Gene Patat; Dr. William Bradley Mobley and Lucy Mobley of Orangeburg, S.C.; Elaine Briscoe Millians and Scott Millians, of Monroe; Charles and Margie Briscoe of Monroe; Ben and Carolyn Briscoe of Watkinsville, GA; Benny Cheek; Joey Cheek; Jamey Cheek; Johnny Cheek; all of Augusta, GA; Vickie Awtry of Macon, GA and Terry Awtry of South Riding, VA. There were a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
